Welcome!

Let me tell you some of what goes into a custom rod. There is no comparison to a factory made fishing rod. "It takes approximately 30 hrs. of work to complete a custom rod. Rod manufacturers can hardly spend 30 min. on a rod". Leaving out many of the steps that are used by custom rod builders to bring together a truly functional tool to enhance the fishing experience.

Besides from the almost unlimited choices for the cosmetic appearance of the fishing rod, the most important part, the functionality of the rod itself, i.e.: balance, power transition, casting accuracy and distance, static deflection, and so forth, is far superior. Once you have a custom built fishing rod in your hands you will wonder how you ever got along without one (or two).

I use only quality materials on my rods such as Fuji®, Gudebrod® Threads, U-40® cork sealer, Flex Coat® finish. I build exclusively on St.Croix blank made in the USA. The guides I use on my rods are the industry standard, they range from Fuji Hardloy™ to higher end Fuji® Alconites™.

I create my own cork handles from high grade imported Burl Cork rings with cork inlay in the finale pattern. The reel seats that I use are Fuji® ECS on baitcasting, and Fuji® DPS or burl cork Tennessee seats on spinning rods. The majority of my rods are split grip style rods reducing the weight and adding to the balance of the rods. I use thread work that consist of favorite colors with trim bands. The decorative side of the rods are done with marblings and flaming. As you can see, custom fishing rod building is an art, limited only by the imagination. If you are looking for a Custom Fishing Rod, come on in and visit.
I'm sure you will find it an interesting experience...
