My rod experience started as an out wrapper for some of the major rod manufacturers in the late 80's. Then I started building and repairing freshwater bass rods independently back in the early 90's. I have wrapped hundreds of bass rods for the local bass club anglers and guides here in the central plains, and as a rod builder I take a lot of pride in producing top quality fishing tools. There have been a lot of changes I have seen over the years in the way rods are constructed today and in the quality of materials as apposed to the rods of the past.
Blanks are lighter, smaller in diameter, stronger and more sensitive than ever thanks to improvements in graphite blank construction. Even good old fiberglass blanks have been refined to where they are much less of a pain in the arms to use all day. Methods of building rods have changed due to the efforts of individuals such as Rich Forhan, Brad Tharp, Tom Kirkman, and many others and what has made custom rod building into the art and craft that it is now, is the willingness of rod builders to share their knowledge in different formats. I have been lucky enough to be able to learn from many of the great mentors of this craft and feel that the rods I am building now (split grips, spiral wraps, etc), are vastly improved from the rods that I have built in past years.

I'm a full time Reel Service Technician and Custom Rod Builder this is all I do, I promise to deliver your rods in a timely manner. There will be times though when unexpected delays may occur due to heavy influx of reel service request, ie. schedule changes.
